RE: paint prep

I don't know what soda blasting is, but I had my car media blasted a few
years ago. The thought then, of course, is that media blasting is a
gentler process then sand.

I stripped the car myself, leaving only the wheels and the dash still on
the car. The cost was about $800 as I recall, including a thin coat of
acid-etched primer.

I was pleased with the results. The only drawbacks were a bit of
unwanted primer overspray in a few areas, and the darn little media
pellets come "out of the woodwork" whenever I need to take a hammer to
something.

Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. I.e., send parts/car transactions and negotiations as well as other personal messages only to the intended recipient, not to the Clubhouse public address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
