Re: crank swap trying again.



To many unknowns here....what's the application ? Are
we building a "never to excede 3500 rpm " go slow or
does he sometimes "kick it "!.
The real question (so it seems to this "dumb old
Southerner") ...is SHOULD he do it...not CAN he do it.
The 440 had several different head configurations and
some of them are near 8.4/1 compression...if he learns
to make back yard lubrication oil then it's probably a
go...but then there is the "smog/exhaust" question.
