V 42 2 25 HP V - 1964 42 - 426-cid 2 - February 25 - 25th (1964) HP - High Performance version : 1, 4-bbl carb 10.5:1 C/R 365 bhp @ 4800 rpm 470 @ 3200 torque The MP versions had 2, 4-bbl carbs, one with 11.1: c/r (415 bhp) and one with 12.5:1 c/r (425 bhp). Seems the 426 wedge was either HP or MP. No 'standard' version offered. I'm looking at an engine block casting 2406730. I don't have the casting dates. The pad says: V 42 2 25 hp I'm pretty sure this means 1964 426, February 25, High Performance. Do I have anything wrong? Does MP mean 425 HP vs. 415 for HP? Or does HP imply a street wedge engine? Is this a Max Wedge block for sure?
