Re: radiator flex hose




I'm running them on my '65 Polara because of the radiator upgrade I did to it. The hoses have held up fine, and the cooling system has no problems, so I don't see anything wrong with them. I would prefer to have molded hoses on there as I think they look better, but I haven't gotten around to it. Too much downtime for not enough of a good reason. There's a book (Tex Smith?) about plumbing and hardware on race cars, and it advises against the universal hoses, but I can't remember what the reasons were. For custom applications, your alternative is to go behind the counter at the auto parts store where they've got them all hanging up and try all the hoses that look like they might fit (which is what the book suggests).
