RE: B Body tapered axle inner seals



Butch,

The inner seals are a bit hard to get in. I messed up quite a few until 
I realized that you have to have a seal driver that is the correct diameter 
to get them set correctly. It has to be metal, heavy duty or the seal will 
not go in correctly. It is worth the investment.

Yes, I agree. I bought one off of Ebay that looked like the one shown in the
Mopar service manual, but it's too big. I may make one. The one from the
parts store is just too small in diameter, cannot help but disfigure the
seal as I drive it in, no matter how much I try to work around the
perimeter. /Butch

Not much to say, except that you need a driver that is slightly smaller than
the seal.
