Re: Ride height

New rear springs will help. If that's not enough, you can replace the shackles with longer ones using a "lift kit" (available at your neighorhood parts store). The lift kits are universal and contain 4 bolts/nuts, some washers, and 4 pieces of steel bar stock with evenly spaced holes drilled in them so you can set the height where you want it. You're supposed to cut the extra bar off when you're done, but so many people back in the day left them hanging there for the world to see. That's what you call "old school".

Subject: Ride height

Wondering how I can elevate the ride height on my 65
Sport Fury. It had some air shocks on it when I
bought it, but they needed replacing and they wouldnt
fit with the exhaust when I had it replaced. So, a
pair of stock shocks are on it now. I have to admit,
the ride is much, much better, but I dont like the
rear height.

Is there any way that I can increase the ride height
on my car? The rear springs definitely need
replacing, can I increase my ride height with that?

Thanks!
