Re: A833 OD questions

Jeff,

At Carlisle last weekend I spent some time at the Keisler booth
looking at the new OD trans for Mopars.

http://www.keislerauto.com/mopar/transmissions/automatic-4sp.asp#kit_contents

They don't list it for 62-65 Mopars yet, however those kits are
complete including driveshaft. I was REALLY impressed by the product
and how knowledgeable the Keisler staff was. This uses a GM automatic
(4L60E I think) and is supposedly much stronger than the 700r4. Lots
of clearance on the 68-70 B body they had on display. Might be worth a
look.

Good Luck,

Rob

I am still doing research on putting an OD in my Polara...does anyone
have aby info on this swap as far as installation goes, or especially
strength? From what I've found so far, the 1st - 3rd gear sets are the
same as the standard trans, but the 4th gear might be a little weak. I
can live with the tradeoff of dropping my rpm's about 700 on the
highway. Also, I read that the 3rd and 4th gear pattern might be
reversed..is that true? What do you guys think about this swap? Direct
bolt-in?

This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
