The 4L60E is a great trans. I had that in my 95 Impala SS. Nice low first gear and a 1.6 overdrive final. Makes 4:11's the hot ticket for in town performance, while giving good free way drivability. I had the ECU reprogrammed to where it would almost break your neck on full throttle shifts. It took the abuse of near 500HP and a lead footed ol man without complaining. Earl Jeff, At Carlisle last weekend I spent some time at the Keisler booth looking at the new OD trans for Mopars. http://www.keislerauto.com/mopar/transmissions/automatic-4sp.asp#kit_content s They don't list it for 62-65 Mopars yet, however those kits are complete including driveshaft. I was REALLY impressed by the product and how knowledgeable the Keisler staff was. This uses a GM automatic (4L60E I think) and is supposedly much stronger than the 700r4. Lots of clearance on the 68-70 B body they had on display. Might be worth a look.
