No engine information in the VIN until 1966. We're talking about assembly plant codes.

Ive been folowing with curiousity the chats about vins for max wedge motored cars. the 4th digit on this vin is a "1" but they call it out as an original 383 car.

so does the 4th digit being a 1 not only mean max wedge motor but big block?
