Trans cooling

Rich Kinsley  '64 Polara 4 dr 318poly w/goodies

I was wondering if someone could tell me whether the front line or rear 
line on my '64 727 is the output side. I'd think the trans line with 
output should hit the trans cooler before the radiator cooler in order 
to help prevent adding heat to the radiator. I'm thinking I may have my 
lines oriented wrong and causing more heat buildup in the radiator.
