I just completed the change over from auto to 4 speed on my 64 Sport Fury with all new clutch components except for the pedal assembly and Z bar, I find that when I push the pedal to floor it stays there and you physically have to lift it back up. Any ideas why this might be happening? Clutch is not fully adjusted because the engine is not ready to run yet. The clutch is a dual disc diaphram type if that makes any difference. I seem to remember way back when that if you remove the over center pedal spring this would fix the problem but if that is true, it makes me wonder why the factory put the spring in the first place. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance Nico Over Va.
