I  sold an E-body 4 speed setup to  a mopar  guy here in oregon (
portland to be exact) who was  doing a brisk business  in E-bodies,
pulling cudas and challengers out of peoples back yards ( for a song i
imagine as he was quite the slick talker) and selling them to guys
back east for re-bodying. I couldnt believe he admitted it to me, I
mean i just had met him , I could have been a cop for all he knew.
They were all 318 cars, but in relatively nice shape (no salt here)
and he was selling to guys back east with rotted out 440 and hemi
cars.  he struck me as a rather shady character.
