within a somewhat wide tolerance of accuracy, yes.
check your fender tag for the scheduled production date.   under
"SO NUMBER" is a 3 digit number,  first digit/character is month,,
1=Jan,9=Sept,A=Oct,C=Dec.,,   8-A months are 1964, 1-7 are 1965.
second 2 digits are the day, , so C21 is Dec 21, 1965.

Gary is after your block assembly date code (I suspect), thats when
the engine was assembled..,  usually 7-45 days prior to the 
Sch.Prod.dAte,,,  then check casting date of block,,  thats 
usually 7-45 days prior to the assembly date of engine...
