Re: Carb spacer question

Phenolic is definitely a better insulator.

I have noticed that the Eddy 500cfm carbs on my Weiand WPD4D manifold with 1" swirl torque aliminum spacers get almost too hot to touch. I'm wondering if the phenolic spacers would be better to help prevent the heat transfer. There are gaskets top and bottom on the spacer but apparently that isn't enough too prevent the heat.
What are your thoughts????
