Ron's exactly right, except the RB 383 was seen in the early 60's, not late. I believe it was only used in the Chrysler Windsor, but Bill Watson will clear that up.

Hi -I don't know why your source would tell you a 383 intake won't fit a 361 unless the 383 is a relatively rare Chrysler RB383 from the late '60s. All the 'B' engines, 350,361,383(not the one rare one mentioned above) and 400) manifolds are interchangeable. All the 'RB' intakes, 413, 426, 440, arae interchangeable. The early RB 383 interchanges with the other RB intakes.Ron '64 Sport Fury 440/727 '63 Sport Fury 383/727From: michael rofe <mblarofe@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Reply-To: 1962to1965mopars@xxxxxxxxxx To: "1962to1965mopars@" <1962to1965mopars@xxxxxxxxxx> Subject: low deck intakes Date: Mon, 28 Jan 2008 05:21:03 +0900i own a 1959 dodge custom royal 361 cu in it has a two barrell as standard what 4 barrell intakes will fit i have an intake casting number 2806301 info on line tells me it is a 383 intake and its not supposed to fit a low deck motor but it does and it runs goodso what other intakes fit low decks that are not supposed to mick perth w.a.
