RE: 63 Polara Hesitation?



Jim,
As others have mentioned, the hesitation may be due to a problem with 
the carb accelerator pump.  The first thing I would do is see whether it 
has a Carter or Edelbrock carb.  If so, see whether you can extend the 
accelerator pump stroke.  For maximum stroke, the linkage should be 
inserted into the hole that is closest to the accelerator pump.  I've 
had to change the setting on several Mopar carbs this way to eliminate 
hesitation as you describe...Brian
