Here is another alternative to consider that you could do yourself. You 
need to make sure you get the right kind of sander that doesnt turn too 
high of rpm's that could heat up the metal as sandblasting can which can 
warp the metal, and then you are creating even more work for yourself. 
Make sure to put something on the metal after it is stripped like the 
Picklex.
