RE: Speedo cable

Hi Butch
The speedo in our 63 behaves like that too.
We've tried to lubricate it (from avice on here - we used vaseline) but
it only improved it for a few miles. We sent the cable off to a cable
manufacturer and they said it was fine & did not need replacing.
We've had a spare instrument cluster restored by AutoInstruments, who
have rebuilt & recalibrated the speedo, hopefully this will do the
trick.
We hope to get it fitted over the next few weeks - I'll report back
then.

My advice would be to try some lubrication first, then check the back of
the speedo if unsuccessful.
