 Eine moment bitte!
I was never of the opinion you dont need header gaskets. You have misunderstood me. You dont need exhaust manifold gaskets if using stock manifolds. Exhaust maniflds for our BB ebngines and many other engines too were not made with gaskets originally. (Some 273s had a gasket shield deal )When we buy rebuild kits they have them weak silvery peieces of crap that will blow with on the first couple of months if used. If the vehicle was madfe with non then use non . Headers however are a different kettle of fish. They are not machined but welded and roughly ground and do not have sufficient mass to distrubut the heat well enough to stay sealed. It would be impossible to seal a header without gaskets.
Fords and chevies (V8s)also do not have exhaust maniflod gaskets from the factory either BTW. However with header double felpros. always.
