I got the 63 New Yorker running yesterday after a tuneup. It had sat for 30 years, and a tuneup, oil change and a new battery, plus some ether and it started. Lifters rattled for about 3 minutes then quieted down. The carb linkage was stuck at first, but freed up, other than that I didn't touch the carb and it runs smooth, no stumle. Can't believe the accelator pump works that good... I am truly amazed with this car! Checked the altenator and it's even putting out the right voltage.
