I have the frst V10 ram 2500 ever ordered from Chrysler.(.....26B0001)I waited over 7 months for it. I got it finally march 94. I have done 3 sets front brakes , two set of plugs and several oil and filters. I am still in love with this truck. 14 years later. It is great on fuel, way better than the 318 and 360 on the highway but is a bit thirsty when in stop and go traffic but not terrible. It will tow almost anything even in Od and rarely downshift on hills, even with a load on behind. it has turned several 15.80 1/4 miles with speeds in the upper mid 80s despite its 5000pound+ weight. i have been to Florida. Oregon Alaska with it. it will cruise all day at 80 to 65 MPH. The balance between perfomance and power is perfect. On more than one occasion i have looked over and some overabitious mustang or camaro owner as he jacked up his car on the converter at the light. I have used that line Clint Eastwood made famous. when i looked over at them and said witha evil grin "GO AHEAD PUNK. MAKE MY DAY!" I have never owned a more reliable repsonsive pleasant vehicle and it still no wind wistles even now. it needs a repaint now and I am hoping this will be the year. I love my 63 too. Different kind of car though. Purely for fun. The truck is practical ,economic transportation of anything you want to yank around with it. I have never , not even once ever been even for a lmillisecond sorry i ordered it and bought it. Very few vehicles i could say that about. I Know all the crap about these motors thatwas on the internet from various writers who didnthaveone but guessedat what to espect. but that was not true. Pure balony. it is a very good performer , it get as much as 20.5 MPg (imp gal) at 65 MPH and can still manage 18.5 MPG at 80 plus MPH. I check it on most long trips so i now exactly what it gives. Bottom line I love my truck. Still. Thank you Mopar.
