There's all kinds of things you can install to make your car harder to
steal but the truth is if a thief really wants your car most of these
devises are only going to slow him down. Sometimes that alone is enough of
a deterrent to make him give up and look for an easier target. Frankly
since we used to hang horse thieves I have no problem at all with the
death penalty for car thieves. Your best bet is to make sure you have
adequate insurance God forbid just in case. All my old Mopars are insured
with Grundy for an "Agreed Value" of no deductible comprehensive insurance
for way more than I have invested in them. The agreed value is important,
"stated value" is useless so check your policy. The premium is
ridiculously cheap.

Subject: Security Questions - 63 SF
Hello,
I would like to drive my 63 Sport Fury on some short trips. I am
currently concerned about security when the car is parked. I haven't
added anything to the car yet, all I can do is lock the doors and take
the keys.
I am looking for suggestions from anyone who has added security features
to their cars such as any of the following:
Hood lock, what kind and how?
Actual security system, what kind of system and how much wire cutting
and splicing was required?
Fuel cutout either manual or electric
Electrical cutout switches or relays, what kind and where was it
mounted?
Any comments would be appreciated.
Thanks
Dennis C.
