In '68-'69 , the 273 had hydraulics...basically used LA318 valve gear. Before that, they were all solids, 2bbl and 4bbl.

I thought all 273's had solid lifter cams? I've never seen one that didn't.mark -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: moparbikeguy@xxxxxxxThere is probably more interest in slant 6's than in 273's, but hopefully Don or someone else can recommend a cam for my mini V8. The engine is a completely stock 1967 273 2bbl. It has been fitted with a Holley street dominator and a 600 vacuum secondary carb. It retains the stock 8.8 compression ratio, exhaust manifolds, 904 trans and has 4.10 gears with 28" tires. I just want to upgrade the hydraulic cam for racing at the local dragstrip, and very limited streetdriving. I'd like to keep the hydraulics and not go solid.
