I only buy used cars so the automakeres get nothing out of me. (my 
newest is a 2000 model Chevy Venture). I hope my cars aren't an 
extension of my personality since I own mini- and full size vans (6 
kids). The last American car I bought was problems from 100K on as was 
the Camry I owned. The Nissan Maximas I have had have been cheap rides 
past 300K as far as repairs (I fix everything myself), but the 
Oldsmobiles have been just as good, but not as much get up and go, but 
comparable mpg and a lot more room. My next car/truck/van will be used 
and most likely American unless cars are given away in the future. I 
would really love a diesel minivan that seats eight.
My wife loves Accord and Maximas but currently drives a minivan like me.
