RE: Hood Clearance




I had enough clearance on my 63 Fury (that I should have kept) with stock air cleaners to close the hood without hitting, but when I'd hammer the throttle the engine would twist enough to hit the hood.  I chained the left side of the engine to keep it from hitting.  This was with new engine mount insulators which may have set the 426 just a bit higher than older ones would?
