I use grease, but always wonder about that last shard of metal at the bottom of the hole as the drill bit "breaks" through. Magnetizing the bit sounds like it could work-along with the grease--think I will give it a try. ........................MO.....S.W. It really Saves bits and makes a cleaner hole. I did discover that when Drilling/tapping in stainless steel the best stuff to use is Lard. Yep, It sounds goofy but it really works well.
