If you feel confident with doing the machine work to open up the secondaries on the manifold, that is the way I would go, as the length of the runners was set by people smarter than I,,,,,,,,,Changing the length, such as adding spacers/adapters will also change performance, and economy factors,,,,,So one vote for machine work In a message dated 3/7/2009 9:19:26 A.M. I've never seen any complaints, and I've never had any issues w/ my 2 bbl, and I've been driving it daily for 2 1/2 years. The baseplate gasket I have for the 4 bbl is pretty thin though. I have the open edelbrock gasket, and a Mr. Gasket square bore gasket, that I was going to use as a template for opening the secondaries on the intake. If the general census is to use the trans adapt adapter plate, then I'll need the same pictures as Bill here. though I'm not committed to either way. thanks guys.
