Speedo lube

Rich Kinsley '64 Dodge Polara 4dr 318poly w/goodies

I remember that someone said there was a "wick" on the speedo to lube it 
about every 40years. I have my speedo on the table and don't see any 
wick or lube point. I know oiling a watch isn't a good thing. I did it 
once and it looked like a helicopter! What should I use and where? I 
have a new cable already and it bounced a lot before and a very little 
now. Suggestions?
