I am considering changing my '64 Dodge Polara 500 383 from a 2 bbl. (original configuration) to a 4 bbl. and am wondering about the simplist way to do it without modifying too many items from the existing original/stock setup. I assume a '64 or similar stock cast iron 4 bbl. manifold would be the easiest way to go, as the existing throttle and tranny kickdown setup would fit OK without modification. Is that right? I have a 4 bbl. baseplate for the existing stock air cleaner too. Also, I assume the stock 4 bbl. manifold is almost as good as any Edebrock or similar aftermarket manifold for torque, horsepower? Thanks for your opinions.
