Re: Fuel system remake

why not just order one from fine lines, they are relatively inexpensive to the amount of aggravation you go through to make them and they will do custom lines for you. My 65 has Aerospace brakes and an aftermarket master cylinder with ssbc's combo portioning valve. I made a pattern of the lines I wanted and they reproduced a flawless set that you would think the car came from the factory like that.

Rich,

Their are tubing benders that are essentially springs that you slide over the tube and bend it, slide it to the next bend and so on. The great thing about them is NO kinks. Any parts store or tool supply store should have them or can get them.

Rich,

I just finished up this project a few days ago. I used 3/8 aluminum and
took my time. It went in all in one piece, the same way it came out.
Don't mangle the old line getting it out, you'll need it for a template.
Do not bend the final section that goes over the axle unless you want to
remove the shock. Save that for when the rest of the line is installed.
Start bending and installing the new line from the front and work your
way rearward. Duct taping the tubes together after you get a section
bent helps to keep them oriented correctly and the bends matched up.

The clips can be reused. Just take them out and reshape them using a
drill bit with the same o.d. as the new tubing. My new line fit like a
glove when finished and followed the original factory routing.
