Re: What CD player installs in a 65 Satellite... FM converter and Sirius Radio

I'm not going through thr grill holes - although I really considered it... A single cut on one side of a spoke/tooth seems like it would allow you to bend it enough to push it down temporailly to allow you to poke the connector past it... didn't wanna take the chance on screwin' the paint so I just dropped it down the nearby windshield defroster vent drilled a small hole in the feed tube/funnel underneath the dash fished it outta there with a small wire and routed to unit from there. The hole can be covered with a small piece of duct tape if you like but I just left mine open. The fit is nice... the rat tail distance from the center of the grill, put the lead in almost perfect 90 degreee alignment with the vent opening.
Depending on your unit location either vent tube would work.

I just lay the antenna on the dash, and pull it off when I get to
where I'm going, and put the whole setup in the glove box and lock it.
That way there's no hint of something to steal...works great so far!

But I also like John Hammonds idea too! The only problem I see is
getting the plug through the speaker grille holes.

I've got the same setup. I bought an FM converter, then hooked up a
Sirius satellite radio, tuned the right FM station, and VIOLA!!!
Commercial free cruisin tunes!
