RE: 318 poly



Erik, the bellhousing will definitely fit, if there's a flywheel you 
won't be able to use that. The 360 crank is balanced by having an 
off-balance flywheel. 

Then again, if the Poly is from a '61 model or earlier, it's not going 
to bolt up at all, they have a different flywheel flange, it's further 
from the block with 8 unthreaded bolt holes (6 threaded holes for '62 
and later) and the lower bellhousing mount bolts and the dowels are in a 
different place.

All bellhousings seem to have the clutch pivot in the same place, I 
don't think that's a worry at all.
