Rich, while I am thinking about it--which NAPA do you go to? Yesterday I stopped at the one out west of 60th and Grover. I think that is a warehouse for napa parts.? The guy I talked to said they ( NAPA CORP) are no longer connected to the source of older car parts that they did have. Do you (or anyone) know anything about that?............................MO ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rich Kinsley" <rlkinsley@xxxxxxxxx>

Rich Kinsley '64 Dodge Polara 4dr 318poly w/goodies Today I ran the engine at idle for almost a half hour. It got up to probably 185deg. Not bad. The fuel pressure started at 6.5psi and after about 5 minutes it started to drop. It wound up about 3.5psi. I couldn't get a container around the regulator so my stepson wet down 3 shop towels and put them in the freezer. When they were good and stiff we wrapped them around the regulator. The pressure did not increase. Actually it went down just a bit. The regulator felt very cool too. He crawled under and said the pump motor was too hot to touch but the pump end wasn't too bad. I have a second gauge and adapter coming so I can put it ahead of the regulator and see if the pressure drop is indeed on the pump side. We'll see where we go from here. ----Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
