Re: Rear ends

Ollie,

Yes, you can swap the backing plates, etc. from your old to the new 65-70 rear.

Subject: Rear ends

Reading all our azle/rear end posts....
As you all know I am building my 65 Ply Satellite, Petty Stock Car.
I may have trouble with my present rear end. I disassebled it. It had burnt oil, a possibly bad azle bearing, and possibly a cracked case around the bearing housing. It physically looks and turns ok. I put new oil in, put it back together and hoping for the best when she gets road worthy.
If this rear end is bad...???? I go to to my local Mopar junk yard......
I am looking for a 65 to 70 B Body rear end? Care nothing about ratio's, sure grip, etc......
Can I change the backing plates, keep all my new brakes, drums and hit the road?
Ollie
