Re: Rear ends

Rich, do you think the drums and all your new brake parts would fit my 65 housing? What size are they- 2X10 inch?.......................MO ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rich Kinsley" <rlkinsley@xxxxxxxxx>

I'm not the final word on this but I would think it should work. I think
the stickler is if you have the same size brakes. The brakes on my GTX
rear were an inch bigger so I couldn't use my new drums, shoes, springs,
etc., etc.. I still have them as a matter of fact on the old tapered
2:76 rear end. Anybody need one?

Reading all our azle/rear end posts....
As you all know I am building my 65 Ply Satellite, Petty Stock Car.
I may have trouble with my present rear end. I disassebled it. It had
burnt oil, a possibly bad azle bearing, and possibly a cracked case
around the bearing housing. It physically looks and turns ok. I put new
oil in, put it back together and hoping for the best when she gets road
worthy.
If this rear end is bad...???? I go to to my local Mopar junk yard......
I am looking for a 65 to 70 B Body rear end? Care nothing about ratio's,
sure grip, etc......
Can I change the backing plates, keep all my new brakes, drums and hit
the road?
