A big block 727 has a different bell housing bold pattern than the 318 unit.  Not interchangeable. The big block trany is a 727-B, the small block is a 727-A.  Had a '65 Belvedere 318 in the old days.

I will be installing a 1971 big block 727 trans in my 1965 Coronet 500,, the car was a factory 318 V8 with a floor shift counsel auto. Trans. that i wish to keep using. Will there be any problems with the change over or are there any changes that i must do pryer. Please fill me in on anything i should beware of or should buy.
