Subject: Identifing a 1965 Torqueflite

Guys, I hope some of you out there can help me with this: Many years ago I bought a 727 (bigblock case I think), from a older fellow that ran a classics junkyard, (50's to early 70's stuff). Inside his building he had this 727 that had been removed decades earlier and stored inside because of it's relative scarcity... so far so good. I've had the the part for years, stored indoors along with it's included torque convertor still in place. Recently some bills have come due and I have a potential buyer for the 727 if it is in fact what I bought it to be - a 1965 BigBlock cased torqueflite. I can't/won't sell it to the buyer if it isn't what he needs but I really don't know what to look for to positve ID it as such. I know the buyer will go through it before use due to it's age and lack of history but I also would appreciate any info imparted that would allow me to offer it to him at a fair market value. Please chime in on this one guys, this would probably be some good information to have for everybody on here. Thanks in advance to all that respond...... John Hammond
