RE: Lifts

Bill,
A friend just put two hoists in from American Hoist - not sure if
they sell the same stuff or not. Quality of the hoists were reasonable for
the price but when the city came through to inspect them my buddy was cited
for not having UL approval on the pumps.

Not sure if you're likely to get inspected, or if your insurance
company would deny a claim because of it, but you may want to see if the
pump unit is UL approved.

Anyone been lift shopping lately, or dealt with Greg Smith Equipment before?
I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a 2 post lift and would like some
insight.

The warranty is 5 years on structural and 2 years on hydraulic power unit
and cylinders.

It's $1995 through the end of the year, and no tax wince I'll buy it in
Delaware.

Also, any tips on installing it myself...besides getting 8 men and a boy for
help?
The floor is prepped w/ a 6" 3000PSI slab, w/ (2) 5'x5' re-bar mats w/ 1/2"
bar @ 6" O.C.

Thanks
