Gary & Polyheads,
If Steve did make such a comment on lack of parts/not worth...it would show
his ignorance of these published articles and current unbelief in the hugh
HP & Torque potential of the Poly engine; and what of Chrysler's new 4.7
Poly powerplant?
Glad that Mopar Muscle has the archived articles available online; a couple
of comments though, you will find several errors (two types pistons for one)
in the magazine...The error-free "print ready" document I sent them was
"adjusted" a bit for space and other things...there is also a difference
between the 56-61 starters/oil pumps/water pumps and the 62-66 Poly engines.

Indeed. I'm pretty sure it was Steve Dulcich from Mopar Muscle Magazine
that wrote a similar statement earlier this year about Poly (lack of
parts, not "worth" putting $ in compared to a LA, etc.) I wrote Mopar
Muscle Magazine an e-mail with some updates but have not heard back yet.
To Mopar Muscle Magazine's credit, they have online the full text and
pictures of two articles by our own Top Polyhead Gary Pavlovich: How To
Give A 318 Poly Engine More Power - Mopar's Rodney Dangerfield The Mighty
318 Poly Gets The Last Laugh!
* 318 Poly Engine More Power, Part 1!
* 318 Poly Engine More Power, Part 2!

Good luck with your cool project Rick!
Thanks,

She's no different than the vast majority of Mopar enthusiast, I rarely
see Polys at the major shows. I don't remember seeing a Poly in anything
other than a stock appearing car. Which is why I'm building a a bad ass
'63 Fury convertible with an equally bad ass 396 stroked Poly.
