If he used the S.W. heads, you have some SERIOUS restriction of flow between 
the intake and heads. The Maxxie head ports are at least a 1/4 inch wider 
and  1/2 taller and I am just going off memory. It may be more than that. I 
cannot say I ever tried to see if the bolt patterns matched up or not. My 
guess is not, but I am guessing. I know for a fact that the Edelbrock STR14 
crossram will fit the S.W. heads and it works great. I run one on my stroker 
440 engine with ported 906's and it is perfect street car or bracket car. 
Others will have to chime in on this to be more exact.
