As far as I know, each year (1962-1965) Chrysler changed the fender tag codes slightly. So a 1965 decode is not an exact match to 1964, '63 or '62. 

Also, to make it more, er, "interesting," not all of the plant records were kept historically. So, the last time I looked at a Govier book, he generally only had codes from the Lynch Road and Hamtramck manufacturing plants. If your car was built other than those plants you are stuck. And, more confusing, each manufacturing plant used a slightly different coding pattern.

It's all part of the quirkiness fun of owning a 1962 - 1965 Mopar.  :)

Our tags sure are much simpler than the later '60s cars where the tags are full of codes and numbers.  But they seem to be more elusive to find info on through the magical internet.

Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
