Re: "Engine Turned" tape vendors

Thanks for the update Douglas.

Another option is that Bill Petrow manufactures 1964 Dodge Polara 500 and Sport Fury engine turn swirl kits for side trim. Bill is listed on the vendor's page:

Thanks,

>lategreatchevy.comThe tape offered here is NOT a roll, it comes in 6 pre-cut pieces to match a '62 or '63 Impala SS molding. '62 Impala trim starts narrow on the front fender and widens as it goes to the rear quarter (opposite of a Sport Fury).'63 Impala has a short narrow molding that does not look even close to a '64 Sport Fury
>tapebrothers.comTheir tape comes in 1" or 2" widths.
>'64 Sport Fury trim is 1-3/8" wide at its widest point which means the 2" tape needs to be trimmed down to fit the width AND trimmed to match the taper of the molding. That calls for some precise trimming.
>Another thing is that if you want the trim to match STOCK, there should be two vertical full "engine turned" circles with a 1/2 circle above and below them. The 2" tape has 2 full and 2 half circles in it, but you have to trim 5/8" off.
