RE: Stripping trim



I spent the fall polishing the trim for my 63.  The engine turned trim 
on the 63 was thin, probably @ 26 gauge stainless.  Mine was in pretty 
good shape.  To clean it I used a cleaner de-greaser which is probably 
similar to 409.  After it dried it left a film, which I removed with a 
shop cloth and elbow grease.  On areas with stubborn grit I used a green 
3M scouring pad.  It cleaned up nicely using these steps.
