Re: Off-Topic - 1967 Baracuda

I'd love to bring such a project home. I fear I would probably get the same threat from my wife also, if I were to bring another one into the yard. I still get threats from her for the rusted out 77 Ramcharger that's parked on the side of the house. I'm already catching it cuz my dad and I schemed on this last Monday and picked up a 2-door 77 Volare for $450 for my Son and I to put together for his first car, as he'll be getting permit in about 3 months. She's a bit pterbed about that one. Hopefully when it gets here, she'll at least agree it isn't another project like the RC. I'll have to prove to her it will be a solid car by the time he turns 16. So will have about 8 months. I figure gotta get him started right with a mopar.

A fried of mine who has a salvage yard just bought a 67 Barracuda from and estate and wondered if I wanted it or if I knew of anyone who would be interested. The guy just keeled over at the age of 50.
He received it from his mom who was the original owner.
I looked it over and the rust is not too bad.
New rear quarters have been started but not finished.
The interior is bad but the seats are there to be re-done. Rust in the floor pans can be patched easily.
Couldn't see the trunk but the key for it will be there tomorrow.
No front bumper unless it is in the trunk.
Looks to be a 273 with headers.
I will take pics and send to anyone who might be interested.
No title yet but his wife is looking and can supply a bill of sale with a copy of the death cert for getting a duplicate.
The car was originally from Missouri but he moved to Indiana in the 80's and the car has been here ever since.
My wife said that if I even thought about it she would de-nut me.
I can't make kids but I still enjoy trying.
