I doubt the 8.75 was standard or they wouldn't be so hard to come by (last I 
checked, A-body 8.75s demanded a premium). I suspect the 8.75 came in the 
big blocks and maybe behind 4 speed small blocks. Everything else likely got 
a smaller rear.
