Original altered wheelbase car's k-frames were stainless. This k-frame would only approach that kind of value to someone that is restoring an original car that's missing the k-frame. That's just the person that Eddy's hoping for. He always wants high prices for his stuff. He's not tryin' to make a livin', he's tryin' to make a killin'!

I saw a magnesium in Jim Kramers basement 15 years ago. He
wanted 5 grand or more then. I do not believe this is
stainless at 17 pounds, it is mag, or aluminum. If it is
stainless, it is made from very thin steel. Jim Kramer would
be the one to ask, he knows how many were made and what all
materials were used. Unless you have one of the factory
altereds or A-990 cars, you would be crazy to drop that kind
of $$$ and actually use it. If you wanted it as an
investment, maybe, but a risky investment it would be. Very
limited market for this. Too limited for E-bay. He should
know who he can sell this to and who not in my opinion. Dont
you think?

I worked with steel products for 30 years and it doesn't
look like aluminum. It looks like stainless but I question
if it is 17 pounds.
Stainless is lighter, but not that much lighter.
