Yo DJ, Well said. That's the reason I'm kinda NOT looking forward to getting my car painted. The way it sits now I don't worry too much about getting a scratch or a stone chip. Where as some people, when they restore or fix up a car to near show room condition, will freak out if you breathe the wrong way around it. I believe a car should be touched, driven, and yes, even leaned on. But who in their right mind is gonna let somebody lean on a brand new paint job? Kind of a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" senario. Just my two pennies. I have one comment, and I know I'll probably get flamed for this, but if I owned any of those cars with engine compartments clean enough to eat off-of, I would be ashamed of myself. How can people enjoy this hobby, without firing that baby up and going out and having a blast, looking for bowties and blue ovals? All that work and effort, just to show it off. Our cars, along with others makes where made to be driven and enjoyed? And yes I know that different strokes for different folks and there are no rules in hot rodding. I see these cars as caged beast, just chomping at the bit to go out and do their thing. Sorry for the outburst, just seems sad to me. Again thanks for sharing. > DJ > > > --- On Tue, 7/20/10, Steve Chervinsky <63hemipolara@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > > > From: Steve Chervinsky <63hemipolara@xxxxxxxxx> > > Subject: Carlisle pics, ooops > > To: 1962to1965mopars@xxxxxxxxxx > > Date: Tuesday, July 20, 2010, 1:13 PM > > > > Sorry group, seems the link I posed only works if you sign > > up to that > > site.
