Restoration Sequence Question

I have started work on my 65 Bel II vert, doing all the mechanical/engine
stuff required but need a group opinion on what to do first.
1 Do all the body work/paint required or
2. Replace/repair all the convertible top parts
Unfortunately the car has to sit out under cover for now and my thoughts were
to do the top first to help seal the interior but it may be a year before I
get to complete the body/paint work.
Comments/opinions desired.
