I raced a 62 plymouth fury back in the 70's. 383 2 x 4 barrels with a 4.88 rear. Tapered axles. Car ran in SS/HA on the record along Callahan & Sulu (the Villian) who held the record at 11.88. They won the first gatornationals back in the 70's with this car in F/SA. My car ran the same times The name on my car was OVERDOSE. We both ran in Northeast Division 1. We both had tapered axles. NO PROBLEM. These cars were pushing close to 500HP.
