Most debris screens and splash shields I have seen are epoxied in. Thats a
great way to them.

Subject: Self tapping screws for cast iron?
Hi All,
I wonder if there is such a thing?
I want to install an oil splash shield down in my lifter valley.
The hold down straps require you to fasten it with machine screws to the
block.
Though I dont mind the drilling portion, im not keen on using a really
small tap down into cast iron for fears a snapping it off.
Do they make self tapping screws that could be used successfully provided
you use the right size bit to begin with?
Thanks in advance fro any insight,
Derrick
